Jimmy and I were hopping over a low fence to take pics on a path today when a butch intimidating woman in a sheriff's truck roared up. We told her we were working on a school project, but she looked skeptical - I'm sure she thought we were going into the forest to engage in a variety of immoral activities.
I'm kind of surprised that I love this outfit combination as much as I do. It's a little obnoxious - usually if I was mixing stripes I'd make sure they were on very different scales - but it's unexpected and made me want to sit around and listen to French music.

You're totally right - the mix of stripes works. In theory it shouldn't, but I love it! Great pieces for the 30x30 btw.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is kinda like the black widow rangerwoman. Intimidating.. like it's saying, "Oh yeah style bloggers? You wanna stripes every day? THEN WEAR EFFING STRIPES Y'ALL, BIG TIME!"
ReplyDeleteYour stripes kick breton stripes ass. It's pretty hardcore and I'm a fan.
I LOVE THIS. the stripes are definitely attention grabing, but in a great way! Good luck with the rest of 30 for 30, Im doing it too :)

ReplyDeleteThe stripe on stripes is striking! Great idea. And, the photos turned out great! My friend always said, it's easier to apologize than to ask for permission. Ha!
