While my mom was here we went to see Redwoods. She had to borrow some of my clothes and since neither of us got the memo about cargo shorts and Berekley sweatshirts being required dress at state parks in California, we both ended up looking like white girls who took a wrong turn somewhere between Starbucks and the elliptical machine at the gym. I'll make sure to pack my Teva's next time.
All mockery aside, this place was amazing. After spending my weekdays looking at a computer screen, I'm always itching to get outside by the time the weekend rolls around and this was just the breath of non-airconditioned air that I needed.
(we rented a ZipCar - it was SO cute and SO much fun to drive!)
Love those super-stylish hiking/park moments ;)) Super cute photos, those trees are astounding!!

S'nice. Did you see any wildlife? (Other than said Berkeley-ites, of course.)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you didn't mention that REI-wearing hiker who mocked our conversation about shopping. At least we didn't have words emblazoned across our behinds.
ReplyDeleteyou are so lucky to live where you live! i would LOVE to visit the redwoods one day!
ReplyDeleteThis post is the first post where it finally dawned on me, that you don't live in the magical realm of the internet but in the real world of San Fran. My cousin lives in San Fran and works in John Muir Woods. I am SO going to John Muir to see the redwoods next time I am there.
