it's gonna be a quickie

J.Crew dress, flats and belt; Banana Republic shirt

I'm going to keep this short today because I'm leaving in the morning for New York :)

I convinced my mom to take me as an early graduation present, so we have a weekend of brunching, shopping and walks through Central Park planned. I've been perusing blogs for restaurant and shopping recommendations, but I'd love to hear from you if there's anything we need to add to our list!

I have posts scheduled for the rest of the week and I'll be back on Monday. Until then, find me on Twitter!

  1. Me too! If by "New York" you mean "the office" and by "as a graduation present" you mean "for work", that is. So.... I guess I'll see you there! :-D

    (Have fun! :-))) )

  3. Ahhh so exciting! I live in NYC so I hope you have a wonderful time. Definitely hit up the soho area (as I'm sure you already know) there are wonderful shops and restaurants down here. You get a mixture of both boutiques and chain stores it's really great. If you're around here too walk a little bit to Nolita, there's the most incredible italian food there. Check out Vincents for great italian food as well as ferraras for amazing cannolis and one of our favorite restaurants in the city is Carmines a family Italian restaurant they have various locations throughout NYC. Also if your interested in chinese food hit up china town as well. The peking duck house and shanghai joes are my absolute favorite. Have fun! If you need anymore suggestions or anything at all just leave me a comment or email me!

  6. LOVE the ruffled dress w the best! It's such a cute look and you did a great job making it day appropriate.

Hope you're having a fantastic time in NYC. As much as I've traveled I've somehow never been there. American fail. :)

  8. Jealous! Have an awesome time! Classic Case did a great post about places to visit in NYC recently: http://www.theclassiccase.com/2011/03/my-nyc.html. When I was there this past summer, I followed her recommendation and stopped by City Bakery...it was delicious! Also, you can't go wrong with the shopping in SoHo!
