While I was doing a semester in London I would sit in the Tate café drinking tea, people-watching and reading Popism (which was written by Andy Warhol and recounted his escapades during the Factory era in NYC), then wander around the galleries and find the paintings that I had just read about. Those were some of my favorite afternoons of all time.
So, I was super excited when the Warhol exhibit opened at the IU Art Museum this weekend. Jimmy and I went on Saturday afternoon and I snuck around trying to discreetly take pics with my iPhone.
I've been obsessed with iPhone photo apps lately. The pics above were taken with Instagram, but my new favorite is IncrediBooth.
IncrediBooth acts like an old-fashioned photo booth and spits out strips of four photos. Best $0.99 I've ever spent. Are there any other apps (photo-related or not) that you'd recommend?
Love Andy Warhol, my art history teacher in college worked for him back in the day!

I love using Hipstamatic! It's so much fun to play with the false lenses.

so just knowing your photo will look like a photo booth shot makes people act like they are in a photo booth! Love it! Another great app!
ReplyDeleteKat - Hipstamatic is next on my list to download and play with, thanks for the recommendation!
ReplyDeleteLove warhol. When I lived in Montreal there was a special exhibition on Warhol with a bunch of his original stuff...one of my favourite exhibits ever!
ReplyDeleteAlso- sigh. London. I love London. Boyfriend is british, and I lived in the UK for about 6 months last year (in Oxford)...but had to come back to finish up my degree. Moving back at the end of this year, hurrah!
There's no place like London.
Although NYC comes in a close second!
Aaand I've heard San Francisco is awesome.
And, despite what you've been told, Toronto is also awesome!
So many great cities for a blogger to choose from!
